About Me

I began my IT career as an apprentice in system administration and integration. And afterwards I worked for a couple of years in this field.

Since completing my studies, however, I have focused primarily on software development and engineering. I started out mainly in backend development, and to this day my focus remains on Java development. Over the years, however, I have also delved deeper into frontend development, cloud computing, DevOps and DevSecOps, so that today I cover a broad range of full-stack development.

I prefer to work in an agile environment as part of interdisciplinary teams and aim to provide the best possible experience for the users of my software products.

In addition to purely technical topics, I also enjoy working on conceptual issues. Throughout my career, I have also held roles such as technical project lead. I have mentored interns, working students and junior developers. I also have interviewed candidates for developer positions and later successfully onboarding them into the team.

In my free time, I enjoy pursuing my hobbies, such as sports (especially bouldering and cycling) and gaming, watching movies and TV shows, listening to music and podcasts, and most of all, spending time with my wife and friends - and sometimes on my own.
